1.) That there is one God, Creator of all things expressed in three persons known as the Godhead, which is revealed through Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:9: "For in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily." God is expressed in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
2.) That in Jesus Christ alone can be found the only Savior of mankind, and that He is God manifested in the flesh. I Timothy 3:16: "And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." John 14:6, "Jesus sayeth unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father but by Me".
3.) That Jesus was born of a virgin, bearing the blood that is without sin by the seed of the Holy Spirit for the sins of the world. Luke 1:26: "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee named Nazareth." (27) "To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgins name was Mary." (30) "And the angel said unto her, 'Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God." (31) "And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name Jesus.
4.) That Jesus was our sin bearer and died on the cross for the sins of the entire world, freeing us from the power of sin. Romans 6:6, "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Hebrews 2:9: "But we see Jesus, who is made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man."
5.) That the resurrection of Jesus Christ was physical and literal taking place three days after His crucifixion. Romans 6:9, "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death has no more dominion over Him."
6.) That Jesus Christ will return to earth again to reign on the throne of David. That He will return with clouds and all of creation will acknowledge Him as Lord of all. Revelation 1: 7-8: "Behold He cometh with clouds; every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen." (8) I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come, the Almighty.
7.) We believe that the Bible is the inspired God breathed Word of God, and that God will preserve His Word to every generation. Psalms 12:6-7: "The words of the Lord are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." (7) "Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever." Luke 4:4: "And Jesus answered him, saying, 'It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God'."
8.) That there are corrupted texts of Scripture. The devil's first act in causing man to fall was to change the Word of God, it remains his greatest strategy. Evidence of this is found in the Scriptures. In II Peter 2:15-17, the Apostle Peter, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, recorded these words: (15) "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (twist, remove), as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness." The corruped texts are Textus Vaticanus and Textus Sinaictus. The Textus Receptus or the received text was the scripture used by the church throughout history, century upon century with little exception until our time. The King James Bible is translated from the received text.. New Age versions of the Scriptures like the NIV have many Scriptures removed as well as many words that particularly relate to the preeminence of Jesus of Nazareth. This is expressly forbidden in Revelation 22: 18-19: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of this prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this book."
9.) The Great Falling Away of the last days finds its origin in corrupted scripture texts or the mystery of iniquity. The mystery of iniquity is to violate the sacred Word of God.. Satan is the original Torah violator and his counterfeit spirit is the author of the mystery of iniquity, as found in II Thessalonians 2:7-9. It says, "For the mystery of Torah violations already energizes: he alone holds back until He becomes from your midst, (8) And then that Torah violator is unveiled, whom Adonay (the Lord) consumes with the spirit of His mouth and inactivates with the epiphany (brightness) of His parousia (coming), (9) whose parousia (coming) is after the energizing of satan in all dynamics (power) and signs and lying omens (wonders). The Great Falling Away and the appearance of the man anti-christ, (the new Judas) will come from the midst of the church and precede the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 2:2,3: "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that day of Christ is at hand. (3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." (Judas Iscariot is the only other person that shares that title.)
10.) Characteristic os the Great Falling Away:
A. Apostasy would come from the ministry. II Peter 2:1-3: "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of who the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you; whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." Example: Word of Faith teachers that proclaim that Jesus was not God when He walked on the earth but had to become God, a classic example of denying Him.
B. Savage wolves will not spare the flock and produce a perverse Gospel. Acts 20: 28-30: "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed that church of God, which He had purchased with His own blood. (29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. (30) Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them." Example: Eternal security teachers who teach that there is no apostasy despite what is stated in I Timothy 5:12, "Having damnation because they have cast off their first faith."
C. Men will tire of hearing the truth. II Timothy 4:3-4: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, (4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables."
D. A gradual, mysterious, secret apostasy would arise and become visible in the church. II Thessalonians 2:3, 7-10: (See former Scriptures previously given. Example: The seeker-friendly apostate emergent church movement where the cross is considered a distraction and is replaced by a business model that gives people what they want. Replacing the cross that we are commanded to pick up daily. Such churches are copied in every denomination in America.
11. The need for purging from the falling away. II Timothy 2: 17, 18, 21, 26: "And their word will eat as doth a canker; of whom is Hymenacus, and Philetus; (18) Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. (21) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master's use and prepared unto every good work. (26) And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."
12.) The need for repentance and brokenness and returning to the altar with fasting and praying as a means of overcoming the Great Falling Away in our midst. (Isaiah 58:6-11)
Isaiah 58: 12: "And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste place; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."
13.) The mystery of our fellowship is in Jesus Christ dwelling within. Colossians 1:26-27: "Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints. (27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
14.) The establishment of ministry making men see the unsearchable riches found in Jesus Christ and the mystery of the fellowship of Him dwelling within us is the basis of ministry as unto Him.
Ephesians 3:7-9: "Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power. (8) Unto me, who am less that the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ." Such ministry must be established in brokenness and honesty, not in politics wherein the systemization of error is established wherein men serve systems rather than finding intimacy with the Lord.
15.) The regenerating work of the Holy Spirit which brings a believer into a new birth from above, which is the only way that men can enter into the Kingdom of God. With this regeneration, sanctification and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, as found in the book of Acts follows. The Holy Spirit comes with various and sundry gifts as described in I Corinthians, Ephesians, and Romans severally as the Lord wills.
16.) That water baptism is by immersion as provided by adequate examples found in the Acts of the Apostles.
17.) That there is a communion table that is a table of trembling and deep searching wherein the death of the Lord is shown until He comes.
(I Corinthians 11:23-30)
18.) That tithing is a Biblically based practice that should be followed by all believers. However, all giving must be with one motivation, the joy of a pure love for the Lord with Him as our own reward. Giving-to-get is self-centered, selfish, and man-centered. (Malachi 3:8-10)
19.) That hell and the lake of fire are literal places for those who have committed the greatest crime in all creation...the rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ as God, Lord, Savior and King. (Revelation 20:10-15
20.) That heaven is literal and the centrality of its Kingdom is a temple in the Heavenly Jerusalem wherein God Almighty and the Lamb are that very temple. Revelation 21:22: "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it."
